Features and Benefits: 8000 Series Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) Conversion Kit

The 8000 Series Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) Conversion Kit allows customers with 8000 Series Generation I transmissions to update to the latest improved shift Generation I control unit. Included in the kit is an “enhanced shift program” remanufactured VCU and one output shift valve. The kit is being made available in response to customer complaints about hard or aggressive transmission shifting in older 8000 Series wheel tractors. These control units will make adjustments that are not possible with the original control unit. While the enhanced control unit has added capabilities, it will not cure bad-performing shift valves or problems in the transmission due to damage or wear.

Alert your Service Department of this and refer them to SIB 99-2-5-3 Enhanced Feature Vehicle Control Unit for more technical details.
