Combine clearance gauge

The combine clearance gauge, formerly available for sheave gap clearance, chaffer settings, concave leveling, and more, is available for ordering through Order Zone and the Cary Francis Group. To order, visit Order Zone and search for part number JD04164 or “combine gauge”.

This gauge is designed to help you optimize your harvesting results through proper combine adjustment spacing.

Use gauge for the following applications:

Chaffer and sieve settings

Use gauge to obtain the suggested settings recommended in the operator’s manual for particular crop. Gauge is also helpful when you need to return pre-cleaner, chaffer and sieve to original setting after opening for cleaning.

Sheave gap tolerance

Use gauge to obtain the proper sheave gap to tolerance for:

1.      Posi-Torque cylinder drive

2.        Variable speed feederhouse Posi-Torque drive sheave

Concave leveling

(Front and rear spacing) Use gauge to set the ratio of concave cylinder relationship.

Header auger clearance

Use gauge to obtain equal auger to header floor clearance. Amount of clearance depends on crop density. See header operator’s manual.
