Poly skid shoes and extensions offer improved performance when harvesting low to the ground. They protect the metal surfaces on the bottom of the platform and help prevent crop pushing in damp, sticky soil conditions. They are available for 200 and 900 Series Flex Platforms and 900D and 600D Draper Platforms. Poly skid shoes are standard equipment on 600 Series Flex Platforms. It is recommended to install poly skid shoes on 200 and 900 Series Platforms (when not included in base equipment) when harvesting crops that must be cut closer to the ground, like lentils or peas, or when harvesting shorter-than-normal or downed crops. John Deere poly skid shoes are designed for a precise and tight fit, preventing material from building up between the poly skid shoe and the metal plate of the platform.

600 Series Platforms have the option of a raised-cut skid shoe, which requires different poly skid shoes than the standard platform. The raised-cut design increases cutting height from 1.5 in. (38 mm) to 2.5 in. (63 mm) to provide added protection in field conditions where excessive rocks and other field debris are present.

200 and 900 Series Poly Skid Shoes

·         200 and 900 Series poly skid shoes are available through service parts individually and also in full kits. Kits include rivets for installation.

·         Made of yellow, ultra-high-molecular-weight (UHMW) virgin polyethylene used in agriculture applications for over 14 years.

·         The poly is formulated with ultraviolet inhibitors (sun block for plastics) to prevent ultraviolet deterioration and extend wear life.

·         Sheds wet, sticky soil for closer-to-ground cutting. Less crop is left in the field.

·         Feature special hinge design and slotted mounting holes, allowing for adjustment at installation and a custom fit

• Custom-fit design reduces dirt buildup between poly and steel, stopping premature wear and extending skid-shoe life.
• Performance improves because original sensing shoe area is more accurately duplicated.

600D Draper Poly Skid Shoes

·         Full width poly skid shoes for 600D Drapers can be ordered as a factory option or individually through service parts.

·         There are a total of 5 different poly skid shoe extensions used on the 900D Draper (pictured above). Each must be ordered individually. Each extension utilizes (2) H150218 rivets per piece.
