Crankshaft main and rod bearings on any engine will wear over time. Replacing the bearings before wear-out can avoid crankshaft and rod damage, and costly downtime.
Maintenance Guidelines:
·Replacing main and rod bearings after every 5,000 hours of operation is recommended.
·When replacing main and rod bearings, inspect wear patterns on the engine crankshaft, pistons, and liners.
·If no further work is required, replace the main and rod bearings with a John Deere underhaul kit.
