Dura Line™ Plus Shear Bar

There is no longer a need to keep a specific shear bar for each crop and spend time changing the shear bar when moving from one crop to the next. The Dura Line™ Plus shear bar is the first real ‘all crop’ shear bar. In addition, the Dura Line™ Plus shear bar lasts three times longer than a standard shear bar. It sets a new standard for wear resistant cutting parts – further helping to reduce cost of operation.

The Dura Line™ Plus shear bar has been developed using a hard metal plate coating technology, which has been proven in challenging environments like mining and machine tooling. Dura Line™ Plus shear bars are exclusive to John Deere Self-Propelled Forage Harvesters (SPFH’s). 

Cost of operation is a major benefit by using the Dura Line™ Plus shear bar. The average time to replace a shear bar is 2.5 hours. That adds up to an additional 5 hours of labor needed to replace the standard shear bar vs. using the Dura Line™ Plus shear bar. Plus there is still the cost of purchasing the two additional shear bars.

·        The Dura Line™ Plus shear bar kits do not contain the Teflon installation parts. It is required to replace these parts when installing any shear bar. Please also order:

Dura Line components save money. They cost more than the standard John Deere parts but they last an average five times longer plus the advantages of labor costs.
